my 5$ "engine"

just got this poor "engine" for 5 bucks today. wondering without a flywheel and without a pull start cover, are there any markings anywhere else on this thing? thanks

haha i just bought an engine sorta like that about a month ago for exactly 5 bucks! its a 2hp briggs. Works now

o and that thing looks pretty bad idk

well ty. i have another 5hp briggs with a short shaft and was thinking maybe i could use the shaft from this one in that one. though the short shaft runs so well i hate to take it completely apart with my limited knowledge and tools... what to do what to do

yea if you can see in the last pic there is a gouge running down the cylinder and it smells like burning, but it came with the throttle linkage which is what i was buying it for anyway plus i got to take it apart and see what my good one is like inside!
