how does one afford to just throw money down the toilet like this? this monster cart will be the single biggest dissapointment in cart history. it can NEVER live up to the amount of work, time, and money that has been dumped into it.

I dont think he really spent all that much on it. When you have the resources its not hard to make something cheaply and it look like lots of $$$.

Know what I mean Vern?

the way the monster cart sits as of now i have about 500$ or less in it. i did some trading and a little bit of cash for the legend truck and it will be a lot better rig than the monster cart while still keeping the miniature size.

putting the axles and tires under the legend is basically saving me work being as i was going to do pretty much the same thing to the monster cart. and the legend truck ( named tripple6 ) is an upgrade as far as frame , engine and saftey goes, and i think the body looks cool as im partial to old school trucks.

Mudduck, I've been following your work, and I will say GOD SPEED. This project and the mini beast are fantastic builds, and there is no reason for people like the MK3 guy to ever shoot you down. Creativity and passion are what are truly inspiring to me. This kind of work takes faith, and just that little bit of effort to push. Me being a twin fan I was saddened but it is a wiser choice to make the transplant.

-You have PERSONALLY given me a glimmer of hope to the world, because no matter what, you still do it, and succeed.

Walls be ****ed, and full speed ahead!

Agreed, but again its someone's opinion, they are entitled to that just as I was, i do feel a bit bad about snapping back. Mk3, the whole point of this forum is to see the potential in things not normally seen before! Sharing pix and chatting is a means to inspire those whom need it. Mudduck made this work, and is learning from it, as should you! I am looking forward to seeing what you have interests in and what kinda ideas you can contribute to the collective. We all share some tough love around here, especially 4x4 toystory LOL! but its not to hurt any feelings, just constructive criticism! share your thoughts let us know how you feel, but don't condemn an inspiration because it looks hopeless, necessity is the mother of invention, and the father, is YOU!

my rant's over :p someone else take over!

i love out of the box thinking. but these uncompleted projects are just time and money vampires.

look at the real cost of the 4x4 corvette build:
"corvettte" body worth some money, but not now its all chopped up and ruined
dana 44 and 60 axles, worth money but now narrowed to be useless for anything
multiple engines and other machines bought for parts, mostly wasted money there.
THEN theres the actual money spent on it, and so much TIME, and time is money.

i mean we ALL have half finished projects in the garage. but i know some guys like the OP, they always charge full steam ahead, till a project is half done, then they move on to the next project and its a cycle that repeats endlessly.

if you can see this behavior for what it is then you can do yourself some good.

-the corvette body was already cut in half when i got it and was also free to me.
- the axles are a d44 front n 9" rear . only worth about 200$ around here.
i have all the time in the world to get this thing done. given my current situation i think its understandable that this is on the backburner
:cheers2:

That's some pretty heavy stuff there, Dr Freud. :surrender:
