Hey guys I need advice plz, I have a very nice Yerf Dog Spider Box that I picked up off the local CL & would really like to see it running better than factory. The motor turns & acts like it wants to run but instead of messing around with it I as well found a 670cc Predator motor in the box from a guy on offerup here locally. Has anyone else ever tried to put a lil buggy like this together? I have a few other motors as well but really don't believe that this chassis would safely handle the power of them.

Cars and cameras put a 670 on a go kart. Don't remember what clutch they usedhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a-JHykDIPAw
EDIT: 40 series torque converter 1" bore. Dangerously fast and wanted to flip over. They crashed it into a tree.

It wheelies when you take off hard if you come on the throttle gradually your fine and they didn't crash it until increasing the gearing and its take off became more vicious than expected

How much was he asking for the 670cc engine?

Well, I was going to say that it was much slower than expected until they started messing with the governor, then It became scary fast. (Its up to you to decide the line between scary and fun!) It pulled hard for a second or two, then the gov kicked in. It seemed well below 4000 rpm when the gov kicked in. After adjusting / removing the gov, they had to install a wheelie bar. They used a 40 series TC with 1" Drive Unit (the video links a "GoPowerSports" $350 TC with backplate like a 30series).

If you proceed, do so with caution... And invest in a helmet!
Not saying not to do it, I think it would be awesome!

I felt bad for the guy ,he gave it to me for $250, bought it for a buggy that a cousin had & by the time he & his brother saved up the money to get motor their aunt had gotten tired of kart sitting on back porch & had it hauled off...Long story short they thought they could use it & couldn't, I'm smiling BIG:wai::wai::wai:
