Post up some pics, the amount of teeth on the gear, the spacing (pitch) between the teeth and the bore/ method of attachment of the gear and I will gladly help.

Again, we need pics to be able to help you; one small pic of the wrong end of the steering shaft doesn't cut it.

I realise you're new here & these things take time to figure out but, read the thread re: posting pics again, take some more appropriate pics & try again

Mind that I'm only like 18,I'm new to all this stuff.i looked at all the pics but I wouldn't be able to do any of that.i don't have anyway to weld anything Or cut anything.right now only thing I can see me doing is buying that section or getting a completely different frame.

Age is no excuse, we have 13 year olds doing this stuff :toetap05:

Ok, you don't have a welder but, I'm sure someone in your local area does & most would be happy to do the small amount needed for a few dollars.

As for cutting; a power drill & angle grinder are less expensive than a welder, you can pick then up for a few dollars.

Thanks for adding more pics, however, they're a bit small & still only giving us part of the story.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I'm trying to help. Your part is to help me help you...

I did the same research when i first got this same kart. I dont think you can get one unless you find it used, and then it wouldnt be useful for very long.

I rode around on my kart for a few weeks before the steering started getting sloppy and i was afraid of it skipping a tooth or just coming apart.

Do you even require a welder to do this?
If you get a steering shaft and a bearing with 2 or 3 mount flange you could probably mount that up.

What I would do (I may be seeing the situation incorrectly)-
Get a column like this
Get a bearing like this
Drill 2/3 mounting holes for the bearing, and if need be, enlarge the central hole so the bearing can fit in.
Put the new column through the bearing
Bolt up bearing and bolt on tie rods
Tighten grub screw/s in bearing
Put old steering wheel on new steering shaft
Test your new setup.

Dunno if this would be any good. I would suggest looking for a new column of the same diameter so that you can use the existing seering column support. You may need to get a new steering wheel and a 'hub' or mount to fit it to the new shaft.
