That's bad because I just ordered all the parts, including a 60 tooth sprocket.

What size sprocket do I need? It has a 36 tooth sprocket/band type brake made in one piece.

I’ve been trying to tell you that for two days. You can’t do it unless you have the ability and tools to do the mods. If you are capable of cutting grinding and welding I’ll tell you what to do.

Yep, just checked the 60 tooth will not fit. Therefore I will use the 36 tooth sprocket. I may have to raise the engine to clear the frame. Now with that said I don't know how great that sprocket will work but I no longer care. You people have problems.

Every body has problems. You will run into further problems when you try to get your new engine and torque converter to work on that kart with the 36 tooth sprocket and the stock brakes. If you are in need of advice on getting your brothers kart going again please feel free to PM me and I will be glad to help. After all, I have the exact same kart and have already been through exactly what you are wanting to do, with success.
