Mufler/Straight Pipe

I have a kenbar kart with 6 or 6.5 HP tecumseh powersport, and the muffler is old and rusty and rattly, So im looking to replace it,


Im looking for a cheap alternative, and something quiet because i ride it around the neighborhood and dont want to be a disturbance, So ive seen screw on mufflers but i was wanting like a straight or bent pipe with flange to bolt on and then screw a muffler onto it or something like that, Any Ideas ??

With a bit of work you could easily make one which will end up being quieter than a lawn mower

Ok any ideas on how to do it and what setup and what to use? I dont have a welder by the way

you could search some kart/small engine sites. With that motor, and no welder, It might be hard for you to make it yourself.

As far as I can find, Robertson's is the only company that makes Tecumseh OHV headers to fit a muffler. Keep in mind these are for the RLV slip on racing mufflers, so it's still going to be louder than stock.
