Mud Races

What were those mud race things they used to show on TNT, or TBS, or wherever in the 80s that were mud bogs and they had crazy custom tractors? I miss that on Sundays. Or whenever it was. I need to look on Netflix I guess.

I don't know the right words. I'm so far just finding actual tractors, or jeeps.. I'm thinking of these crazy unlimited class type mud racers

I used to watch when ever it was on TV many years ago, when Canada had Speed channel...
Now they don't have really any car shows except the few built it shows. Gas monkey, Ratrods ect...

See we did not have cable so it was a treat to get to watch this sort of thing!

I've actually gone to one of those races... Those machines are just crazy. They're mostly running blown alcohol big blocks. Front wheels are basically rolling rudders, and the backs are tractor tires. They squash the beads together between two round plates so the lugs roll out and wrap around the edges and act like paddle wheels. Sort of the love child of a dragster and a Mississippi paddle steamer.
