MPH Increase

In the past couple times ive been riding my go kart I could get up to 31 mph max. And in those past couple times I would once in a while hold the governer arm for 2-3 seconds to get that extra speed. I would get about 37-38 mph then I let go. Well just today I rode my go kart and I reached 38 mph without even touching the governer arm. . Also as I reach 38 the throttle somehow pulls back as in it starts slowing down for some reason. Then as I step again on the gas at 30 it goes right back up.I just kinda found that weird, If that is a major problem tell me so I could fix it right away. thanks

I'm guessing that your "manual override" trick has overstretched a spring or bent a linkage slightly.

Ya I think you have a bad spring and that slowing down is your governor "protecting" the engine. Buy a new spring for the arm and it will go back to normal.
