i would like to mount some nice shifter kart rims on it to lower it and give it a more racing look. will standard shifter wheels work or do i need some sort of adapter.

ps if i can mount shifter rims to the kart somehow i will be in the market for a set of used wheels.

I'll help, but you need to remove a front and rear rim and post pics of your front spindle, and one end of your axle. You"ll also need to post some exact measurements so I can determine if any of the racekart rims/wheel-hubs will fit your axle and front spindles.

More than likely, the rear axle will be splined but, being 1", you could change it out. The upside is the front stub axles are probably 17mm (5/8")

Did you pay close attention to the ad:
-28" from seat back to pedal; that's pretty small
-does not come with engine. I know, you can get a predator for $100

But, hey, if that's what you want...

OK the front spindle is 15mm in width and 4 1/2" long. Starting from the bearing in the frame the axle is 7 1/2'', the threads start at 5 1/2'' from the frame right befor the threads the axle reduuces 3/4 of an inch. i hope this is not to confusing ill post pics after i go look at the ''how to post pics'' thread

15mm = 0.59055118110236 Inches, so it sounds like 5/8" front wheel hubs might just fit. You could make sure by double checking your spindles diamiter with a caliper. If they measure just a little smaller than 5/8", then most any 5/8" racekart hubs will fit just fine.

Any 1" rear racekart hubs with a 1/4" key should clamp right on your axle. (your axle has a 1/4" keyway right?)

You might find a lower price shopping around, but you could order all your hubs here:
http://www.cometkartsales.com/store/wheels/vankhubs.htm

You could order some 5/8" wheel spacers too, your spindles are pretty long so you'll probably need some for using racekart front hubs, but you could always stack flat washers instead.

5/8' spacers, lug nuts and front hub studs are listed here: http://www.cometkartsales.com/store/wheels/spacers.htm

In that case, good score

Could your pics be any smaller? :roflol:

@ Anderkart: IIRC, 5/8" = 15.8mm so, true, it shouldn't make that much difference
