mounting brakes help needed

How do I mount the band around the drum?

Pics on how others installed their would be appreciated.

just do some Google searching and you should find some helpful pics or just search DIY go kart forum here is a pic of the band brake attachedon this forum looks like he just used a bolt if you buy a frame they usally already have something welded on ther to attach it to....

One end of the band gets bolted in place and pivots on it. The other end is attached to the actuator, be it cable or rod. Point worth noting- They're directional. Make sure the band is being pulled in the same direction as drum rotation when actuated. They don't work well at all the other way.
