Pedals still work, it's kinda like a moped, so I could run this thing like up a really steep hill if I pedal with the motor going, or just cruise around with the engine, or if I run out of gas I can ride it home.

Yeah a little, welded up an engine mount, and then the metal tubes come off the frame and are welded to the mount. Maybe 30 mins of welding total.

SWEET, i found a moped in the garbage, i will post some pics later. That thing is sweet. BTW when you did your speed calculation on the first page, you did 3600 RPM, that motor is a 2 stroke, it most likly is more in the range of 7-8,000.

THIS IS NOT FAIR AT ALL!!! You found a moped?! I wake up at like 6:00 every thursday and hunt, the best I can find is a lawnmower! DAMMIT! And if you say Puch, you die. I want one of those so bad!

On a side note, I need to switch over to chain drive, and I am keeping my eyes peeled for a chainsaw, has a clutch on it already, it will take some work, but I should be able to use it, then I can run chain drive, a tire a week habit is not a good thing.

It was sooo sweet how i got it, my buddy actually found it, then hes the kind of person that wants to buy a running thing than fix one thats non running and he asked if i wanted it. In my mind a JACKPOT sign lit up. ill post a thread and pics later. Im having trouble with the carb though.

I have heard of cracked/melted pistons, but then there is a MAC 110 chainsaw that has had no muffler for 20 years and it has no sign of excess wear at the EX port.
