Motor mounts for kart

Simple monk that is terrible I know. I am using a SurRon motor.

Biggest issue I've have is just two bolts to hold the motor.

My plan is to get two cuts of the 3/16th plates, welded bottom to another plate and gussets. Thinking i should add a bolt to help with any flex at the top area.

Yeah that looks good. That example has more mounting points/bolt holes, but the principle is sound.

I thought the same. Plate on both sides to get 4 mounting holes.

I royally messed up with this one. Anyways. I cleaned up my terrible welds and smacked it a handful of times and she holds.

How well did it function?

I’m thinking to make a mount adapted to my engine mount for chain tensioning and maintaining stock location of motor on my cadet race frame.
