Id like to start with I'm getting a second gearing set for my go kart I currently have 12T clutch with 62T sprocket the next one I'm getting is a 18T clutch with 60T sprocket how will that do?

Current upgrades on Predator:

-Governor removed
-Performance exhaust
-Performance Air filter
-Upgraded jet
-18lb springs
-Pulse pump

someone mentioned upgrading rod with a billet rod. I didn't get how to replace it since there are different measurements and i don't know if i have a hemi or not on my predator

what other upgrades can i do to this engine for make it better and faster

You don't say what's this for...
For a start, I'd ditch the 18's as in the #springs and tooth clutch.
The 12t clutch is fine but you could go bigger on the rear (72)...
The #18 spring should be used with a billet con rod. Not the stock.
Really you only need to use the fuel pump if its nessisary, it's a gravity feed system.

The hemi head pred have cast aluminum valve cover, the regular head have a stamped steel cover.

18/60 = 3.33 ratio.

Now i personally have tried ,with a clutch, a 4.8:1 ratio. worked great BUT the $18 cheap clutch i used got hot VERY quick. i'm sure if i ran it more than 6 minutes it would've started burning.

Now with the ratio you are wanting to try ,If you try it, please report back how it went and if you can Show a video but it is highly not recommended especially with 18pound springs on a stock rod. But if you are brave and courageous enough, report back on the results.

I agree with all the guys above. You didn't give the diameter of the rear tyres, but i would get a 10T clutch or a 12T and 72T axle sprocket. Ditch the 18lb valve springs now and go back to stock unless you change the rod to billet
