More self torture

Got this bad boy for free. Owner said it sank but was pulled out right away, he forgot to put hull plug in when dropped in water.
Ran it 2 years ago for an hour then this spring for 15 minutes.
Now it wont crank, bad starter or battery i hope.

nice i got 2 xp's 720. thay are so much fun. i like yours tho with the purple it awsome and you can't beat free. if you need any insight on your ski let me know. also have tons of parts.

Thanks, i am sure i will be asking you questions. I am hoping its an easy fix. Once i remove the seat i will post pics of how clean the engine bay is.

Well it fired up with a good battery connected. Big puff of white smoke. Waiting to hear from guy i got it from what oil is in the tank. Looks like regular oil but i dont know what the right one would look like.

i use Pennzoil Marine Premium Synthetic Blend 2-Cycle Engine Oil. tho i don't trust the oil injector so i pre mix my oil to 40:1

I wish I lived somewhere that people had money. It is almost unheard of for someone to give away stuff like that around here. People ask $300 for non-running ATV's from the
80's! Its not much better with karts either. I don't think ive ever seen a water toy for cheap. Boats on the other hand...people give them away if you pay a few bucks for the trailer...lol.

I got lucky with this find.

So rocket, how long can i run it with a hose attached to it

till it blows up !!! lol jk i run main for about 15 min or less just to make shore it run befor i take it out. do not give it all the water but just anuff to make it pee. if you run it with the hose full throttle it will not pump the water out fast anuff and heat up and stall.
