So I have never built a Go Kart from start to finish, but have always wanted to. I have the back end 95% done. For the motor is got a new 6.5 predator from HF and put a .37 jet, soldered some of the holes on the emulsion tube, put an air intake and straight pipe with silencer. It started on its second pull after the modifications and runs like a dream.

I ran into my first snag today. I put the air shocks on it found out they're not your strong enough. Ordered some of the AZUSA 450lb shocks.

That looks sweet, try the buildoff ???? You have til the end of the year to finish.

And doesn't the lower mount need to be farther back on the swing arm ? If it was I bet those shocks would actually work.

What's the buildoff??

I had the shocks mounted back further and had the same problem. I can compress the shocks by hand, that's how soft the springs are. I hope these new shocks will do the trick.

I stand corrected. The shocks are going to need to be mounted further back. The "bad shock" mentioned earlier still is to week, but I have 3 that look like they will work just fine. I'm going to try to use 3 to handle a person up to 300-350lbs. I only weight 190lbs, but I have some big friends:cheers2:

Got it done enough for a test drive!! Runs great. Top speed so far is 42.6 mph. Ran out of straight road..... made an amateur mistake and installed the caliper with the bleeder valves facing down, so I couldn't get the air out of the lines. Easy enough fix though just by flipping it around and Wallah....

Well goodness! Don't share any photos or video of the finished product that might validate your wild claims. We'll take your word for it!
