Modified Murray Explorer Top Speed

I just thought I'd share this. After installing some new mods, I figured I send it down the street... Well she goes 48 mph! And this is on an un-staged engine. Once I get a header pipe and advanced timing, I think I'll break the 50 mph mark.

Haha, hey Trevor! I literally just now made a new video... I added a little octane booster to the tank, aired up the tires, and lubed the clutch pack.

Yet ANOTHER video coming tomorrow... My performance air filter and jet came in today. I doubt it will make much of a difference, but even an extra 1 mph counts lol.

Next it's time for a billet rod. At 52 that engine was screaming... I ducked in case of it flying apart

The stage 1 kit really woke up the 212 on my Explorer! I want to rip mine 6k+ but i'm waiting to get my rod and flywheel as well. I'm gonna throw a Mod2 cam in too so I can see 7k

Edit: how does your oil look after those two video runs? Might be time to change it before the third run

Did you get a header as well? If its ingesting more air, it should be able to evacuate more air with the bigger jet or you might run rich

I also want the MOD2 cam! I need that rod first though. The stocker is already in danger...

I'm not sure how the oil looks though. It's had more than 2 runs on it. I changed it when I did the governor delete, so it probably has 10 runs on it. So yea it's time to change it. I'll change it when I change the rod, since I'll have the side cover off anyway!

I forgot to update... The stage 1 kit didn't increase the top speed at all. BUT, it did allow me to get there faster. I can feel the extra little power it gave. It seems to climb the hills smoother and quicker, and the clutch engages a little quicker.

I'm about to sell my riding mower for $275 on Saturday, so that will go towards more go fast parts! Plus, tax return season is coming up!!!
