Very nice! What was the search for a frame like -- were you able to use the first one you found?

Take what's that engine mounting setup like down there? I can't tell. Have you put a sprocket on yet and checked the chain?

im kinda stuck untill i get the double flange hub and sprocket for the rear wheel. the angle iron engine struts arent welded yet untill i get the hardware and line everything up. there will be a jackshaft tucked in behind the engine, and the clutch will go on it. the rpm of the engine is so high i have to slow the clutch down some so ill have a 12 tooth engine sprocket and a 24 tooth jackshaft input. with a muffler on the engine instead of a tuned pipe it will probably top out at around 10,000 rpm. the engine and aluminum mount are vintage kart stuff i have. the mount has a sliding dovetail with locking bolts for chain adjustment. i need the jackshaft ratio chart you mentioned to get my final sprocket size for the wheel.--phil

i forgot, there is a landfill about 10 miles from here and they always have a pile of bike frames, free, just have to grab before someone else does. its suposed to be a 26 inch bike but i think i screwed up and got a 24?

i've found a jackshaft calculator for the end gear ratio, and i'll get that uploaded Monday afternoon.

i spent most of the day building my double flange hub for the rear wheel and sprocket. then i made up two jackshaft supports and mounted the pillow block bearings. non of this stuff is welded yet, maybe tommorow. i have to get everything made up first and make sure its going to line up from the rear sprocket to the clutch up on the jackshaft. man its real close in there. it looks like my clutch is going to clear my engine by less that a half inch.--phil

well, my minibike project is neer done. all i need now is a throttle set and to hook up a brake, and a paint job. i tryed to take it for a test ride without a throttle, bad move! with only one hand on the handlebar, i opened the carb a quick shot and it spun the tire on the concrete and almost jumped out from under me. i realy want to ride so maybe i can rig something up tommorrow for a temporary throttle.--phil

Your nuts LOL. I can see this thing spinning around then coming out from under you while you still have ahold of it with one hand. Watch out for skull injuries.
