Mini Tractor steering.

Hello.
I'm in the process of designing (then building) a mini tractor for my son.
Originally it was going to be a go kart but it's morphed into a mini tractor!

I'm basically learning as I go along. I was planning on having a go kart steering system ( https://kartfab.com/go-kart-plans/go-kart-steering ) but I'm not sure if that will work. I've read up on "steering joints" ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mg-tf-mgf...467260?hash=item2cbb7375fc:g:r-cAAOSwCU1Ynvtv ) but I'm not quite sure how to make it work.

(excuse the front axel! it's just for a visual!)

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a way that would work?

If it were me I would use a rack and pinion off a kart. Then you would have multiple options for steering joints and angles. And the steering would work alot better as well.
