Mini quad suggestions

I'm picking up the mini quad pictured tommrow and it has a 49cc engine so I'm assuming it does 25mph now does anyone know of a way to maximize these little engines or is there a better engine option for it without fabrication

That looks like the large pocketbike engine...
There are people who race and modify them, however not alot of 2 stroke talk here...
I'm sure some one will chime in soon..
