You guys would have to understand 'me' a little better to fully comprehend the situation. I'm not saying your suggestions aren't useful, knowledgeable, and no doubt the best course of action. I just tend to be, well... different. My hobby is building motorcycles. Hardtail, barebones, out of the norm bikes. I also ignore most peoples suggestions and build what I want in that field also, so don't take it personal.
My personal opinion is suspension is overrated. Honda built atc's for years with nothing. They didn't stop all of us from riding them. A poorly designed suspension is worse than no suspension in my opinion. I've worked on and rode quite a few of these little quads and my experience with this particular brand is they're very scary at speed. I've turned the throttle stop all the way in and let er fly and it's terrifying. Now, since speed is my goal here, and it'll probably be on pavement. I decided to just forego that known problem. If I was wanting a slow off road quad for my son, I would approach this whole thing quite differently.
Thanks for everyone's input, and please don't stop giving the advice and opinions.
