Mini monster Moto predator swap

Recently I swapped my monster moto worth the predator 212, I used a heavier throttle return spring, because if you go to hard on the throttle it will pop a wheelie, I want to stop this as it is annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks?

What is the gear ratio(clutch and rear sprocket tooth count)??? What is the actual measured OD of tire size... Not sidewall size???

Can you provide more info... as in is it a stock 212, how many teeth on the clutch and axle (or if a torque converter teeth on jackshaft and axle), gov removed etc. In my opinion it will always be fairly easy to pop a wheelie with these mini bikes since they have a short wheel base and most all weight is on rear wheel.

As always some pics would help.

Stock 212, clutch has 12 t axle sprocket has 75 t I believe, and no torque converter. And I was thinking of some way to put weight on the front

The best thing you can do is extend the wheel base of the mini bike. If you look where the heaviest thing on the bike is positioned (you) it is over and sometimes behind the rear wheel. If you move the rear wheel back so your sitting just ahead of the rear wheel vertical centerline it will make a world of difference. Also putting in a taller gear ratio will also help.

I will see if I can move the wheel back any, I also have planned on getting a 13t clutch instead of the 12t, I will look into a bigger sprocket

Many people have put weight packs on the front of their karts. Not sure how that would work on a mini bike though (is this a mini bike you are talking about?)

All it will do is make sure the throttle closes when you let go of the throttle.

My suggestion is stopping cracking the throttle wide open from a stop. Roll into it gently.
Otherwise get a clutch with a higher tooth count, or a rear sprocket with less teeth.

BTW, wheelies are not annoying. They are awesome.

Yeah I know that a spring won't help, and I do roll into it gently. And wheelies are cool, just not when you don't want to do them. I just want to make it so I can go speedy fast and not pop a wheelie unless I try. Also I will be getting a higher count clutch, maybe a smaller sprocket too

Cool beans. All my builds start out like, " I want wheelies and 50 mph." My current minibike was designed because I wanted "wheelies and 60 mph." LOL

Right now, with 14" tires and 75:12, you are geared for 24mph at 3600 RPM.

I might try replacing the clutch sprocket with a 16T sprocket, which would give you 32mph at 3600 RPM.

Or if you keep the 12T, I'd replace the rear with something like a 56T.

It seems like you've got one torquey summnaB.

I downloaded a app on my phone and it will hit 35mph but it gets really jerky, but I will look for a 16t clutch and a 56t sprocket. I'm just going for speed, I plan to do engine upgrades once I move.

What do you mean jerky? Death wobble at high speeds? Just go faster, they seem to only exist at a certain speed - which I just hold on and power through.

If you use 56:16, then you would be around 42mph at 3600 and 60mph at 5000 RPM. Clutch engagement at 1800 RPM would equate to a 21.5mph wheel speed, which might be tough on the clutch. Plus I'm not sure If you'll ever get it up to 60mph without upgrades.

50:12 might be better.
36mph at 3600 RPM.
50 mph at 5000 RPM.

It's not deathly, it's just kinda wobbly/ jerky. Kinda hard to explain but it only does that when you reach top speed. But I will look for a 50t sprocket soon, do you recommend any places to purchase one?

Was playing around in the gear ratio calculator and I am thinking I should go 50:25 and mod the crap out of the engine

I was looking for a sprocket that fits your bolt pattern, but you could always buy a blank one and drill the bolt holes yourself. Does that sprocket fit your bike? 60T vs 75T alone will help.

I don't think you will get 70mph without heavy modifications.

You cannot run 50T:25T. That is a 2:1 gear ratio.

You might be able to get away with 48T:12T, or 75T:18T, or 60T:15T which are around 4:1 gear ratios. Shoot for 4:1 if you want top speed and a clutch that lasts a more than a few minutes.
