It has been a couple months since I first asked you all about some frame material, and I figured it was high time I posted some pics to show my progress. Motor and handlebars coming soon I was told you all love pictures!

I have learned more than expected from this fab project, and had a lot of fun and frustration. Already thinking about a second attempt! Let me know what you all think!

Holy !!!! Did you do the bar twist work yourself?!? Either you have better toys at your disposal than I have ever had, or your Oxy/Act bill could buy a small country somewhere.....

That is impressive; if we had an emoticon that showed a "Tip of the Hat", you would be getting it now....

Have you done a "ball park" guess about whether your frame extensions/ fork extensions will be up to the task? Or are those the types of things you would like to address in the Mk 2 model?

We have a moderator that bugs out over how the tires are mounted; he'll go over the tread direction on the rear tire.... Just so you know....

I'm pretty sure it's just an FYI thing; many people simply don't know that some tyres are directional

It is driving me crazy that the back tire is not facing the right direction! But, I bought a baja warrior for parts and that back tire is off of it, and whoever mounted it mounted it backwards. Really don't want to attempt that just yet!

machinist@large, yes, that is home twisted! It didn't take as much acetylene as you might think, it is only 1"x1" square. It did take three of us, though. Quite the workout!

I am pretty confident that the fork extensions will be up to the job; only a couple test rides will tell!

Fabroman; from seat to the triple tree is roughly 35 inches. It turned out much larger than I orginally anticipated...from axle to axle is 7'6". I apologize for starting a new thread; just got a little too excited to share some pictures.

About the size of my bike. Looking pretty cool. Hammers are quite the touch, I like it.

Nice work, whatcha powering it from?

If you do flip the rim, put in a jackshaft for the drive chain.

Yes those slag hammers are neat. I be concerned about loosing the temper and making the 1"sq. brittle from all the heat applied when twisting.

VERY NICE! I often wondered what happened to ya. Glad we didnt scare you off. Great job.on the bar twist.... PITA huh? Been there..... lookin good though. Thats a bit of a stretchfrom seat to bar, but its for cruisin and a first build. Mighty impressed..... mighty impressed.....
