Pics today, and maybe I will do a go-pro video. Doesn't look like my wife will be around to shoot any today.

Pictures. There are a lot of welds and braces that need to be put in, but I'm out of gas, so it'll have to wait till after the first of the year. I won't be driving it very hard till next year anyway. The original kart frame that I built off of wasn't square, so some things may look a bit off, but it tracks straight when driving, and nothing binds, so it's good enough for my backyard.

That jackshaft is from when I had a torque converter on it. I will redo it next year and hopefully get a working torque converter on it. For now it's just decoration.

Ok, video is awful, but it's the best I can do right now. It looks better on my PC than on youtube, but the sound is horrid either way. I never really opened it up, partly because there are a number of joints that are only partially welded, and I am not sure that the locktite will keep my wheelnuts from coming off. Once I get everything fixed the way I want it I'll get some full speed video.

yeah, not quite the video we had in mind. lol. we would like to see a video of it IN ACTION, like someone holding the camera filming you riding around the yard, so that we can see how it performs, and how the suspension holds up. try again. lol.

for example, this video of some guys riding my demo buggy isn't very exciting till you get to see the guy actually riding around IN it, rather than watching the road and grass FROM it. and of course his buddy holding the camera didn't realize that it was a widescreen camera that you had to turn sideways. lol.

for all of you folks out there with iPhones and stuff - turn your freakin camera sideways BEFORE hitting the record button. it will auto adjust and make for a nice WIDE picture rather than a tall and narrow picture. this one had to be edited and turned sideways after recording so people wouldn't have to turn their heads sideways to watch it. lol.

editing is for people who like to say everything in one post. lol.

i think the point i was trying to make is that a video of dirt/road/grass is kind of pointless. it doesnt really show us how the kart looks or performs. maybe better to save the video posting efforts for something that gives us a better example of how it rides and handles. that's all. not trying to make anybody feel like they need to punch their kitten. lol.

Got a couple of video's done today. After we took the first one, my son wanted to race. After he almost rolled it I decided to just follow him around so he wouldn't try to drive so fast.

very cool! i should have made a video of my 10 year old daughter riding around in the 13hp kart before i tore it apart. it was geared down to about 24 mph, and could haul my fat 240 lb butt up some big hills! i don't feel safe having her ride the 56hp buggies that go 60 mph. lol.

Got a Torque Converter for my B-Day, along with some new rims and tires. Spent the afternoon remodeling my swingarm to try and make everything work. I am a little worried that the mounting bracket is going to be in the way of the chain. With any luck I'll have everything worked out by the weekend.

I mean the torque converter mount. I am going to need to relocate the engine about 6 inches back so that the chain can go straight down. I can't move it forward, because the shocks would have to be moved, and a little extra weight in the rear isn't going to hurt me any.

All set up with brakes and test drive done. I would try and get some video, but wife is really sick. Maybe in a couple of days. It hauls my fat arse up a pretty steep hill I have in my front yard. I'm pretty happy with the result.

Is it not too soft with the single shock in the back? It looks pretty small.

It's 2 shocks side by side, and yea, it's soft. New shocks all the way around are one of a long list of things I plan to upgrade someday.
