Pretty new here. Been rebuilding a yerf dog 3203 and sorta caught the bug. I also do lots of offroad but normally in my jeep.
So anyway I've got a lot of fab tools at my disposal and figured building a mini offroad buggy would be a cool project.
No drivetrain decided yet except 2wd, 4-wheel independent suspension. I'll be doing the rear in a double swing arm style with sprockets on both wheels, I'm sure you guys have seen it before but I can post pics if needed. Most likely snag an engine/trans from an atv, use atv front spindles/hubs/brakes, 4-wheel disc brake.
But before I get too ahead of myself obviously the frame comes first.
So I drew this up in BendTech tonight and was hoping for opinions and recommendations.
Now important notice, the area for where the front control arms will go is intentionally unsupported/nonexistent. In that area I'm going to plasma cut flat brackets/plates that will then be boxed and connect all 3 of the front bars together, these will also be used as the mounts for the control arms.
Also the very rear part is open as I'll design that bracing once I figure out a motor so I don't have to hack it up to fit the motor.
