well we called on it and he dropped the price to 80$!! so i think we will get it.

he said the engine ran but he lost the key(elec. start) but he said with red cats you cant just use the pull cord without the key, so will a new ignition switch work or by pass the electrical, how could i fix this?

take the wires off the solinoid and rig a push button.

because rigging a push button to the solenoid seems hard

Take a positive, wire from the battery or a keyed source and hook to the button, the take the button wire and hook it to the small post on the solenoid and you're done!

so there is no way to just buy a new ignition switch?
because you just unscrew and unplug the old ignition switch and plug and screw in the new one?

I don't know if it would be that easy, but you can look for parts!

I think the photo's been flipped. OR the engine spins backwards, and it's got a left-handed throttle!!!

It does not have left hand throttle. It has right hand throttle and left hand kill switch.


Just get a DB30 and put a 6.5 in it. Faster then you need and you can upgrade it down the road. Its not worth it to buy and build when you can buy and mod. Youll get a much better product for 500 total then you would spending the same amount on parts and building yourself.

Just use a push button. You say you bought the bike for 80 bucks but you want to spend 60 on a new ignition that is not needed? Push button is a 1 dollar fix.
