A long swing arm would look cool.... But you have a stable platform for a trike... Only the rearend needs to be built in both cases...

I say leave the danm thing alone. It looks like a good solid bike.
Put a new engine on it, add a little more bling, then sell it for a nice price.

Or keep it.

Found this little ( not a briggs) it's mid 80s I'm thinking. Got the edger for 20 bucks. Didn't run. Old gas and setting for years . It fired off carb spray. So I rebuilt the carb . Flushed the oil and cleaned out the gas tank. Fired up in 2 pulls. Setting the 2 screws on the carb is being a pain in the butt. I think I get it set good and then it not the next time I start it.

I cut off all the wiring and brackets and everything not needed for the engine. Stepped out the frame for the engine and also to bring the clutch in away from my leg. I'll work on the jack shaft next. The plastic gas tank is junk and I don't like the fake tank cover, and is also cracked. So it's going to get the fire extinguisher tank I made a wile back. I'll do something to the backbone to make it look custom to the tank.

Reworked the backbone to fit the tank.

BMI doesn't sell the bearings brackets for a 5/8 bearing. So with the help of autoCad and the cnc burn table at work ......instant bearing mounts.
I didn't burn the holes because our plasma table doesn't like small holes. So I set it up to pop a center of the hole mark , then I'll drill the holes.

I've always thought the swingarm pivot jackshaft is pretty cool concept, I almost went that way with my bike before I went ridigid frame...

Going to wait and see it needs it. I'll fab a guard for the clutch and chain and put one in the guard to hold that chain. Spring loaded sprocket for the rear

Looks like it works as is. How much slack on the chain when the shock is compressed? i'd worry i would hit a bump and chain would come off without a tensioner.

and yah RED ROCKET, my thoughts exactly BOB. But the next couple images of it mounted looked okay actually. I was thinking whats wrong with the cruiser looking tank. It kind of makes it look more dirt bike with the small fire extinguisher tank.

Looks good so far.

p.s. 3.5HP......find a 5 or 6.5HP. depending on who is riding a 3.5HP it will be slow, might as well keep the cruiser look because that's what you will be doing.
