mini bike frame?

Hi

I am looking for an old mini bike frame to rebuild.I would like something pretty strong and id proberbly be putting a 3hp magnetron.I live in the UK ebay does not have many/no old mini bike frames.So i was hoping you guys would give me some help on finding some i was maby going towards a scrap yard?.

What iam doing is taking a look at minibikes from minidoodle and using all the best designs to make a minibike frame. If you make it yourself you will save money. But you can always try online sites like Gumtree, thats where i got my bike.

Hey, flowerman. Are you looking to restore/rebuild a mini, or looking to build one from the ground up? Ebay is a good place to look, so is craigslist - minis show up there all the time. Some are in rough shape, others are in pretty decent shape. Most all need a little work here and there.

If you're looking to do a full ground-up build, MiniDoodle has a wide selection of minibikes to look at for ideas. Obviously, you'll need a welder, and the materials to make the frame and forks, not to mention purchasing the wheels and drivetrain. (Magnetron? Haven't heard of that style engine ...) The good thing about building your own is that you can take features from many different bikes, and combine them into a unique frame of your own design. (I actually did that, making a mini minibike out of tire irons and rolling on 4" goped wheels ...)

Important tip: Get your wheels first.
