Hi all
my project was actually going to be a buggy with a 600cc bike engine in it but due to me being 17 in a month i thought id save the money for a car, insurance... but i decided to build a mini bike instead. Its actually going to be the front part of a mini moto or pocket bike frame so forks handle bars etc coupled with a custom middle /rear section and then a modified rear swingarm added to give rear suspension and comfort (because very small wheels dont give a soft ride aha). Fitted to this isnt going to be your typical 2 stroke 49cc engine with no gears its going to be fitted with a Lifan 125cc 4 stroke 4 speed engine kicking out around 18hp.
I actually started this build just over a week ago but after getting most of the work done andgetting it to a rideable stage and having taken it for a slow speed test run i took it for a higher speed run and came off it at around 50mph due to the rear tyre being under inflated and coming off the bead.
I landed myself in hospital but have now returned to the build to get it finished or near enough for the end of the month, i havent got that many pictures of the build but i will post what ive got and my progress from here on,
