New to engines and carbs.

Would it be beneficial to add a 22m Mikuni carb to my predator 212, or would it not make a difference to a jetted stock carb?

I have the following
Predator 212 (governor removed)
torque convertor (tav2 30 series)
Header pipe
Put a larger jet in my stock carb, but don't know what size off the top of my head. As we'll as a kn filter I believe.

I believe it will aid in making power, but the increase might not be noticable.
If your stock carb only has bigger jet, I suggest changing the emulsion tube also. Will aid in power gain.
The 22mm Mikuni is a great bolt on power adder, versus modding a stock carb. I would use the Mikuni , just cuz it's a better made carb, by probably the best motorcycle carb manufacturer out there. Mikuni rules.....

I did change the emulsion tune when putting in the jet, just forgot about that.

Appreciate the feed back, I also like Mikuni carb for the direct throttle hookup.

Do I need the adapter for the Mikuni carb, or will it fit with stock set up? Also, is 22mm the size I want to go with? What kind up upgrades can you do to the carb?

Without a cam or headwork or higher compression it won't be as big of difference as you think.

I made a flange for the carb side but need to take a factory carb off to get the template for the engine side. Then I plane to just use a piece of conduit. Seams like the 3/4" conduit should be the right size but I have the 1" if not. Been sleeping like crap and didn't even work on anything since Monday.

I have the Mikuni 22. It made a very noticeable difference on my briggs. It's about to go on my Predator hemi with ARC rod and billet flywheel. I bought a nice billet intake for it.

You won't need any upgrades to the carb unless you make more mods to the motor.

I was wrong about not needing adjustments. After doing some more plug chops I have found my carb to be running lean. It needs a bigger jet.
