mig welders

hey, i was wondering if a mig welder is good for building a mini chopper. the website says it is used for light fabrication but i think i could use it with reinforcement braces on the frame

mig welders will be fine.. gona use acctual mig wire with argon/co2 or just flux core? i use flux core for most everything cause im to **** cheep to go get a gass bottle and the regulator hoses for the mig.. and what welder are you looking at getting?

just a cheap gasless welder because the closest place for gas is 120 miles away!
i just want somthing that will work!

if i were you look into getting a lincoln.. miller or hobart.. will last much longer then any no brand name welders...

and if you were going to get that 80 amp for $300 something thats a no name go to harbor freight and get one for a 1/3 of the cost if you dont mind a no name gasless welder.

i bought a harbor freight daul purpose mig welder that can use solid or flux core wire. it does a really great job. i use the flux core wire cause i cant afford the mig kit stuff. the only problem i have with it is after you weld a really long time on a high heat setting the ground wire gets really hot but that can be fixed by putting on a bigger wire for the ground clamp. but i ant complaining they are really great welders for the money when you get them on sale. you can weld about anything with it. its a good investment. when you get yours you might want to get a 10 pound roll of wire cause the 2 pound wire that comes with the welder did not last me long but i welded all most two days straight to learn it just my 2 cents lol
