So i didnt go to school today ( knee problems ) and i just recivied word from a few friends and all over facebook that our choir teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting a student, her mom is pressing charges and he has been fired, i think the things that happen here are so messed up, i wish i could move

4 years ago a teacher at my old school was fired as he was a pedo. (setting up CCTV cameras in places you don't want to know)

We once had a substitute teacher. He was to be for 2 days. After the first day, his vehicle was seen sitting on the railway lines. Sad to say he did pass away. Looked/sounded very much like suicide.

When I was in high school we were required to take an SAT prep math class... we had a teacher in training I guess you would call it that would sit in on the class.

Next year I saw on the news that he had been having sexual relations with a student.

Michigan is no worse or better than other places, sadly the same things go on everywhere.

When the world leaders remove the "useless eaters" then maybe most if not all that type of stuff will be gone.

Look up chardon school shooting, Chardon high is couple miles away from my school. 3 dead, couple injured. Not very long ago.

Why would you want to move? Michigan is a great place to grow up and live, I was born there then moved to California for my dads job (10 yrs ago) my whole family is over there and I always have a blast visiting them.

Im sure this will work out. You can't make a life changing decision without knowing all the facts and how it will turn out. Trust me, I have a problem with thinking things will be horrible when they actually turn out to be fun.

I agree with all of the other comments, this messed up sh** happens every where in the country.

My advice to you would be to show the family of the student your support and if you ever get into a situation like this, get the heck out of there.

I wish you luck, but just stick with it. Things will turn out alright.

i just live in the worst part of michigan, i want to be out there owning some 4-600 acres of land and have tons of running toys, but where i live in michigan thats impossible

it didnt use to be so strict, i use to be able to ride up at the local high school, the block, even the backroads without a problem with the police, my neighbor moved in this summer and we both LOVE karts and bikes. We used to do the same things, going to each others houses, working on our creations, and helping each other. the neighbor next to him started to get a problem and used to cuss us out whenever she got outside and has called the city about 6 times now for an inspection, and the police came on numerous occasions because of the apparent noise problems. Mostly our toys being at idle around the neighbor hood it upsets me that she has to call the cops and they even agreed there just as loud as a lawnmower. now just yesterday ( it wasnt wet, but dirt was a challange) i started mine up and let it warm up and put it in the garage, when i came out there was a cop sitting in front of my house asking where i was going and why, i told him i was going just across the street to ride in the backyard of another neighbor in which i had permission, and being a ******* of a cop he made me kill the engine, walk it across the street and then start it in her driveway ( about 10 feet of diffrence in between) and then lurked around a while as i rode, it was stupid and upsetting

I might have a problem with noise too. This is my first kart so I have not really throttled and engine too loud except for the lawnmower and weedwacker. I am skeptical about what the neighbors will say about me gunning an 8hp briggs down the middle of the neighborhood. There are a lot of Stuck-up rich people in my area (in my opinion at least, There is an even richer neighborhood down the street).

I think people are kind of falling away from the past culture of hands on DIY. These modern rules and regulations can be annoying to teenagers. But at least I know one naighbor is on my side. He was walking his dog when I was in the driveway working on my kart and engine and he said "A go kart? Those were the good old days." It really made me feel good about what I was building.

I think its awesome that youhave a neighbor your age that you can ride mini bikes and go karts with. That sounds like alot of fun...besides the old lady of course!

just be gratfull u are living in a first world country where the autharitiea are trying to stop the crime rather that be part of it

i have no noise problem now
but lets see what happens when i start running my 600cc with a staight though muffler in my tin shed
at least im in a club that owns land out of town to race on

it is unfortunate that diy is no longer accepted and kids cant have fun on the streets any more

i think it is crazy that people hire diy men to do simple things
basically going around and tightening pipes, a little painting, maybe some gardening and basic fix it stuff
and they are flat out
we have one in our race club that funds 2 big boats a flash 4x4 and a nice house

Haters going to hate.

Times have changed alot, I used to be able to run my R/C boat at a lake, by my house. Then this Rich fat lady moved across the lake. & everytime i tryed to run she would call the Police. (We call it Fat Lady's Lake now) So after running R/C boats for 20 years, i gave up & built a small backyard flat track.
Sold all my hydro's & im building a kart. If & when the cops show up at my house. I will have to run electric then i guess? But electric is so expencive!
I have had lots of run in's, with lots of freeks over the years. & i can tell you from experience, The best way to avoid the freeks, is to play in a group. (get organized)
Start a club or join one. I only get attacked when im playing alone! When your with a group, The Hater's give you way more respect.
& P.S. You can only run after 12 noon, Run a quite muffler.
Get permition. Ex Ex. This helps, but there will still be hater's.
When karting is outlawed, Then only outlaws will kart.

The rules where I live are "if you make noise that disturbs your neighbors they can call the cops" thats the noise ordinance so it leaves it pretty much open to any noise.

In michigan if you dont have a large private property place to ride then you'll have to haul them up north (like we do) and run the many many trails that they have up there.

The way to get around some of that is to have a dualsport motorcycle or a moped but they still get mone out of you.
