Hi there guys!

I found a great deal on a Predator 212 engine but am curious about one thing. What's the common method of converting a hand turtle-to-rabbit throttle to one that can be operated by the cokart throttle cable? Is there a go-to conversion kit or is it something that needs to get cobbled together by the owner?

you will need a 10 mil socket, a fillips screw driver, a pliers, and the correct length of throttle cable for your build. then remove the air box, after that loosen the nut that keeps the throttle arm from sticking until the throttle arm moves freely, next loosen the fillips head screw on the throttle cable housing retainer and the throttle cable retainer on the throttle arm. slide your cable in and tighten the retaining screws. put your air box back on and put your kart up on blocks start the engine and make sure that your engine revs to full throttle and returns to idle. then ride like karzy!

Thanks for your help! I had been doing some Googling and was finding conversion kits like this, are these pretty unnecessary then if you've got a throttle cable to attach to the throttle plate that the thumb lever attaches to?

Most who have the gov in, just attach it to the throttle plate...
That link above, is meant for when the gov is taken out. It attaches directly to the butterfly valve itself.
For the most part.. it's not even nesisary when pulling the gov.
