Video of the build!
We will try to make paddle wheels and skis so we can drive this go kart in the snow and on the lake ice. We haven't tested it properly yet, any words of advise before we do?

The wheels are actually in quite good balance, and we have reinforced it! However, the risks are as you say very high, but I mean we have got to test it now that we have built itDon’t do it! I doubt you have thought out the balance of the wheels, the paddles and each individual piece. As rotational forces increase so does the mass of each piece. You are essentially building a lower speed turbine blade. You’ve seen what happens when they come apart, much destruction.
What you have is a very slick idea (great) but with a poor execution. Death and dismemberment are usually pretty permanent. But then again if you can get YouTube likes it may be worth it!
But you have my permission to say, “told you so”, when the plate go flying WOW! I can't even see the kart when you gun it. What's it like driving? Oh and Denny will say "told you so" if he gets the chance!
First small test is a success.
Thats the longest we have driven it, its a bit shaky as you can imagineWOW! I can't even see the kart when you gun it. What's it like driving? Oh and Denny will say "told you so" if he gets the chance!![]()
Holy crap. I've never seen that before. That does not seem like a fun time to me. I can't imagine how much money they have wrapped up in those rigs, and then to see them cartwheel back down the hill if the slightest thing goes wrong. Cool to watch, gives my wallet a panic attack, and it's not even my buggy.Reminds me of the formula hill climbers![]()
