There was a table missing in the MySQL database called xf_search_index. There were a ton of errors for it in the ACP. I'm not really sure what happened though since it seems like nobody has been in here working. Maybe it broke because of the original server storage issues.

Sounds like stuff got corrupted one way or another and just has been compounding issues until stuff finally broke.

I noticed pages I've read used to jump to new posts. Now it seems it just starts at post #1.
I looked at settings on my end but didn't trip across the answer.

If the thread is accessed from the main page, it will bring you to the latest post. But if you open to that sub-forum page and click on the thread, yep brings you to post 1.

Thanks for the hard work Tim. Probably was a pain to get it fixed and going. Also thanks for the transparency. Glad it's running again and hopefully be running like a Swiss watch for a good while again

@twilliams11 Sorry to hear about Robert!! I was getting worried as I just couldn't get hold of him at all.

I dont speak to Anderkart too often, but it is just us that are left as moderators. Neither him or I are active contributing members on the site anymore, but we visit the site each day to try and get rid of spam. I have even been spam banning profiles that i think might be suspect, even if they havent domne anything wrong yet. You just get this feeling about users and their usernames after a while.

I will send Tim a PM and have a longer chat there. I do advocate for more moderators, as Anderkart and I arent as active as we used to be, and the only reason i am here id generally to moderate and clear spam. It used to be that no spam got through, but now the floodgates seem open since the forum crashed a few months ago.

People who I would strongly recommend as moderator candidates are:
Hellion
Master Hack
Ezcome ezgo
Functional Artist

These users have been around for as long as I can remember and would do a decent job of trying to keep the forum going

Nice to see we now have no time limit for editing a post. I see a lot of typos and nonsensical phrases I have made over the last couple of days and it's atrocious.

EDIT: It used to be a 20 minute {maybe less at one time} time limit. After that, your post was permanent and everyone can see how stupid you really are lol.

Oh dang, that is a very nice fix. Sometimes my brain laps my fingers faster than they can type. So being able to go back and edit, despite being a while is a HUGE (some might even say YUGE) and useful change.

I have learned the drunken text to speak language and can translate any time needed but I’d be no good as a mod so that’s out. Honestly wouldn‘t give admin powers to anyone. You seem to have a handle on things. I thought this forum along with all my posts and people to talk to were just straight up gone. So again thanks!
