Mega scrapper

Another build I just finished up. Found out the old frame was just tall enough for an 8hp.. so I got to scheming..

First thing do I have an engine mount? And if the answer Is yes can I make it work?

It worked. Everything here is locked into place.

Again grind and grind and you guessed it more grinding. Then paint.

Snag the electric start 8hp off pops old kart. it’s retired to a life of leisure and easy goings. smokes like a house fire after 3 seasons. And even been on fire.. runs just so well still. No real top end blasting just won’t do it anymore.

Getting everything were I want it still.

Wiring clean up and keyswitch mounted. heavy duty tank straps.

threw on the seat from the other bike for testing. connected the front brake. and put on the air filter.

Made a heck of a neat and quiet exhaust. can’t even tell if it‘s still idling or if it shut off whenever the 8hp kohler is idling beside it. Check out that monster moto chain tensioner!

And here it is completely finished and already ran all around the back country. I like this one more then the 5hp mini scrapper because this one is dangerous fast. but it does seem to vibrate the hands more then the mini scrapper. About my only complaint.

We might get the white shroud painted yellow. not sure yet. As for that tire heater the chrome flaked off and stuck to my leg. ouch...

One thing that caught me off guard was just how heavy the bike is. I sling a 5hp mini bike around to the shed or move it out easily. the 8hp hangin off the side of this bike is a mammoth and weighs the part. extraordinary power for a mini

You need 3d print an ABS cover with ABS filament to protect your scrapper.

Can we report this guy as a group? I’m not seeing my forum get taken over by a salesman of useless products. Brian Carlson on 4cycle is a good forum businessman, helps out and sells products. And he doesn’t provide blind links.
