I have one made in 1960 and am trying to get it running. The forward drive lever will not lock down on mine. I am looking for some photos showing the transmission parts that lock it down in the forward drive position that work correctly. Any help would be appreciated!

Here is a photo showing how it is currently set up. (Red arrows point to the parts in question.) I have the reverse disc/pulley off.

If you have one of these carts that works correctly I would greatly appreciate any large photos showing the correct set up.

my model t

hopefully these pics will help, i could take better pictures of the driveline but i'd have to take the kart apart. my engine is wrong, the muffler is in the way and it will not go into reverse. i have the drive belt adjusted up pretty good, you can see the stud hitting the body, it may need a shorter belt.

It looks like you have way too much slack in the linkage. Try tightening the 2 blots circled in yellow and see if that helps.
