I have a stock engine on my bike since I don't want to lose my electric start. However I've done a stage 1 and now when my bike is running on the jack stand the back wheel is spinning like crazy and I'm not even hitting the throttle. Also when I hit the break the t.q is still spinning. Is my belt done or is it something else?!

You need to tune your carburetor for the changes you made to the engine, feeding it all that extra air flow/extra fuel.
Did you adjust the idle screw to the lowest possible RPM so that it is barely ticking over but still able to run without dying and with zero human intervention (hands off the throttle grip)?

Got pics of the bike, engine and the carburetor?

Could be a vacuum leak on the manifold.

Thanks for the input. I actually just put the bike away and was going to let it rest for the night. It's the stock 196 carb with the bolt on air intake nothing fancy. Where is the idle screw on a stock carb?!

You mean you didn’t rejet the carb? I guess not all Stage 1 kits are the same.

[EDIT]: Not sure what bike you have; a search turned up at least two different bikes, but the idle speed screw is simply a screw that limits how much the throttle plate (some call it a butterfly) can close, limiting the air/fuel supply. It is probably a Philips head screw. On most carbs, the throttle plate is only open "just a sliver" at idle.

Make sure you have the bolt-on manifold secured TIGHT and with a proper gasket(s) where needed to prevent vacuum leaks.

What was this stage one kit you installed? If it included a free flowing air filter and an exhaust header, you probably need to reject your carb. However, that should not cause a high idle. Recheck your work.

Anyone know what the OP's bike looks like? I suppose it doesn't really matter but I like to be educated on the hobby. I have an MB200 but it is the Baja brand and has the "Warrior" labeling.

Searching for "MB200 Pro" I get the Trailmaster Hurricane 200 Pro for most results:

I don't want to lose my electric start

If it's electric start then it probably has a headlight which you wouldn't want to lose either. Very handy to have.

We need to some pics of what you are working with and what changes you made. What was included in this stage 1 you did? Was it a kit, or just something you did to be stage 1?

I think the key questions "did you remove the carburetor? "
If so, did you have any difficulty or confusion reinstalling the linkage?
