is this an okay brand to get? i mean, i'm not racing, but i do plan to have a little fun with my kart....

do they hold up fairly well? or is Hillard better?

I prefer MaxTorque to Hillard when given a choice for a standard application and a proper gear ratio. Hillard handles heat better so is great for strange ratios and little kids who stop and start consistently or hold the gas and brake pedals.

honestly they are both good. its personal preference really, one that resists heat like blaz said, and the other does provide a little better speed

lol i'm sold on that then for this setup i'm doing because we do a lot of that kinda stuff.
