Here are the latest shots of my Martin "Monster."
I had an old fuel filter laying around that made me wonder if it would make a good muffler for my scoot.
I proceeded to cut the pinched end off hoping to use it a lid, but it just didn't work out that way. Once O got the fuel line ends cut off, they mated with the exhaust port just fine.
After I got all the spacers and washers figured out, I filled it with steel wool (don't do that. It doesn't add any baffling, and it just shrivels up anyway. But it worked for a while.
The baffling made for a good pressure spring. It's what keeps the end piece securely in place.
I matched it to the rest of the paint job and here's the end result.
