That little nipple on the master is stuck also. I tried to remove it but it wont budge. Still soaking in WD-40 to see if the piston magically pops out.

That's teflon tape? it looks like hardened chewing gum...

Anyways, if you happen to have a heat gun, clamp the master in a vice [lightly] and heat the reservoir slowly while trying to unscrew the nipple...
a shot of PB blaster every now and then wouldn't harm.
(Oh and if the guys are correct, that stuff is golden compared to WD40- And although I never had PB blaster in my hands I know WD40 isn't that great on some occasions ;) So I am pretty certain they ARE :D)
So maybe you want to try and soak it first, maybe it loosens without heat.

If that fails, the next step for me would be a drill, but maybe someone else has a better idea.

for the piston...
You need to get PB blaster inside the cylinder and let it sit for a while (day)
Maybe you can spray it into the nipple until it's running back into the reservoir,
or fill the reservoir until it's comming out of the nipple, whichever works best.

Then reseal the reservoir and apply pressure; maybe with another master cylinder if you have one ;)

You are correct, WD40 is like using water in comparison to PB Blaster, you can actually see the reaction...

I have WD spray but, I rarely use it in favour of a PB Blaster equivelant or degreaser, depending on the application

I purchased the red mineral brake fluid, the Hurst Airheart rebuild kit, but the dumb piston is stuck. Does anyone have any idea if I can use a replacement master cylinder instead of this vintage one? I can sell this whole setup pretty much for a new one looks like.

Any one have an old master they would sell?

Look up appco karting. I think they have a single piston master.

Have not tried the air, don't have an air compressor. Will try this week.

I have tried boiling in water and vinegar with no movement. I did try pushing it in with a bolt and hammer and it did go in further. I would like to still use this brake system even though I know its old and outdated, it just looks cool...

I blew air with a bike air pump into the caliper and it seems to work. While turning the axle by hand I have my wife pump air into caliper and I can feel it stop.

Now I just need to get this piston out on master cylinder, I will take it somewhere where they have an air compressor. I have decided to go ahead and rebuild this brake system, because of value for originality.

OK, I think i'm gonna sell my cart, what would be a good price?

Only thing is the stuck master cylinder and the engine wont idle good...you have to give it gas to stay on.
