Manual Transmission for Manco Deuce???

I am looking for a manual transmission I can put on my Manco deuce or super deuce(I don't think it matters) that would fit or work on this go cart? It has a standard forward and reverse automatic right now, but its starting to go bad and wear out. It's been sitting for about 5 years or so. Possibly more.

Not unless you get a motorcycle engine, gut it down to the transmission and run that to the engine on there. Or swap a motorcycle engine on there. Build Break Repeat used a Ninja 250 engine on their Deuce to pretty good results.

If it has a Dana-Spicer H12, you'll have a hard time finding replacement gears for it.

How or why is it important to have a transmission???...
What is it going to be used for??? street, trails.. offroad...

This may sound a little out there but you can have a coupler/adaptor made and use a front wheel drive transaxle with clutch and all. Something like a Geo metro transaxle only weighs around 75lbs and is very compact. In Russia they build all sorts of all terrain vehicles and this is pretty common that they adapt a car transaxle to a 13hp-24hp engine. There are Youtube videos but there all in Russian. You can get the general ideas.

w what you find out. I also just got a deuce and reverse sounds stripped bad. Forward still works good. Needs shocks bad too. I need to take off gearbox and see if there’s anything to salvage Inside
