Mango Stopped Accelerating

Hey guys, I recently bought my kids a Mango Go Cart from a garage sale and it ran great for about two weeks.
But now...
The engine starts fine and the engine revs when you push the accelerator, but the cart just sits there.
I'll admit, I don't know much about small engines but I put it up on stands to take a look.
The drive wheel spins under idle when started but still no change when you push the gas. It only revs up.
Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You need a new centrifugal clutch....(the thing that connects the chain from the engine to the wheel) count the teeth and measure the shaft (should be 3/4") before ordering one....

BTW: Welcome to the forum.... Please fill out a profile location so we know where you are from....

Also....unless you have an impact wrench...you wont be able to remove the old clutch because the engine will just spin.....so if you remove the spark plug and feed some rope into the cylinder....it will lock up the piston so you can change out the clutch.....when done...just turn it back the other way and remove the rope....

I agree. The shaft is jus spinning inside the clutch without moving it.

Do not use nylon/plastic type rope in your engine

Before we diagnose the clutch issues, is the throttle cable pulled from the throttle lever plate? Since it ran already and then all of a sudden it stopped, lets check the foot back.

He stated runs and revs fine with accelerator, just doesn't move.
