okay guys here is the kart almost finshed. all that is left is engine, back tire, washers for front tires, and new brake band. the front tires stop when you turn them to far and hit the frame so i need to pick up some washers. I cant wait to take it for a spin:D. but i need you guys help and soon because my dad needs to know witch engine to buy the duro max duro star or the predator. feedback with help alot. iv herd the predator's have crappy air filters. my dads bringing home some clear gloss from work to make it last and really shine

hey guys whats? Up my tread is growing old & no ones really has been posting but im getting there by myself. lol well the site is diy go karts lol but yeah my sproket is a 72 tooth & im looking for the best speed & acceleration posssible. would a 10 tooth centrifugal Clutch be better than a 12 tooth centrifugal Clutch? I am uploading a video to show everyone what came in the mail today early

No, just acceleration(not much difference though). If you want more speed, the 12 would be better. However, if you want more speed, the kart will take longer to get there. You could put a TC on there to get good speed and acceleration...

What is your tire size?

the tire size is 410-3.50-5 & i was gonna try for a tc but my funds got cut so the cc wile have to do. but in a year or so its going to a live axle wih maybe a tc

would a 13 tooth clutch burn up with a 72 sproket & 10inch 3/4 tires? need answer asap plz

That gives you a gear ratio of 5.53:1, which is a little steep. It is hard to factor all things in, but it would probably be better if you got a 10T sprocket, or at least a 12T. 10T would be better though. That would give you a 7.2:1 ratio

Kill Switch

To hook up the kill switch, connect a wire from the Little tab on the ignition coil, to a switch. Then ground the other end of the switch by connecting it to a metal part of the frame. You will need to remove the pull start/flywheel cover to access the ignition coil.

thxs guys for all the help i ended up ordering the 13 toothe clutch hopefully it wont screw up anything wish i would have non sooner well im gonna take a trip to the hardware store get chain, oil ,and kill switch parts
