Hi guys, I've been reading this forum for a while and I decided to show the progress of my build.
I have a Manco Interceptor that my dad bought me and my brother when I was around 7. I drove it around for a while and I found other things to do but it was always in the back of my mind...
So I pulled it out of the shed about a month ago and pushed it up to the garage. I jacked it up and took a look at the engine.
I pulled it like 80 times WITH the killswitch on, and nothing. I could tell it was almost running. I decided to quit pulling and took a look at the air filter... FILLED I mean FILLED with crap. I took some soap and cleaned that puppy up and started the engine and it worked! It was a pain to take the axle off because I wanted to take the gear reduction system off and see how much of a speed boost I would get. Got that off and sent the axle, sprocket, and the gear reduction system to the local welder to grind off a metal ring on the axle and re-weld the ring farther down the axle to make it so that the sprocket amd clutch would align.
I'm due to get the axle, etc back tomorrow but I'm leaving town for a week...
Ill be updating this thread in hopefully a week
More pics coming soon!
