I am a newbie to Go-karting but am familiar with DIY mech. projects mainly on dirt bikes as I am a 60 year old guy that stills loves to ride the trails and occasionally get on a Motocross track every once in a while. Also, my grandkids are also dirt bike enthusiasts and we have a camp at a trail riding club in central PA. where we spend a lot of time. That said, I recently picked up a Manco Fox Vortex Go-Kart that runs but could use a little love and attention. But will admit I know nothing about this Go karting world but am hooked. So I want to learn all that I can and would like to start with this Kart as a project that I can upgrade (Rack and Pinion, Torque converter, hydraulic brakes, etc.) But have no idea of where to start or if I can even get the right parts for this kart as I know it is a old kart (mid 90`s I think). Anyway, I would love any input that any of you may have. Thanks for hearing me out.
