manco flipper

Bought a manco 715-302 Thursday night, for CHEAP...... then got hit by a drunk driver , thats gonna cost me thousands.......
Well, the kart is in great shape. No rust anywhere,no dings,dents,or even any real blemishes in the original paint. Has a BnS 3.5hp that starts up, but needs a carb cleaning. (Tips on BnS carbs appreciated) Has good tires,seat with some easily removable paint overspray. Brake works pretty good for hand grip activation. Got 3 "buyers" "fighting" each other for it.....
After I clean it up,and tune it up, Im gonna sell it for $175.... Do yall think thats reasonable? 2 of the "buyers" have no problem paying that, but I guess I feel a little guilty knowing what I paid for it..... At that asking price,I MORE than double my money..... And now for some pics....



O yeah, if I make an adapter,can I use a PZ19 instead of the factory one?

Well Jim, think about it this way..
you got the kart to have it, not to sell it ..
you now have a kart that you do not feel attached to for some sentimental reason,
and you need some money to fix your car...
If someone is willing to pay $175 (or even 200, whatever) for that kart, sell it;
and most of all, don't feel bad about it.

You know Doug, he lives withing commuting range of you; how are you going to explain to the rest of us when an injured man on crutches hobbles up and beats the out of you? The "He was faster than me" excuse will be VERY suspicious......

A running Kart w/ that fancy push'n'pull shopping kart handle bar in back(guessing for when the motor dies n you gotta push it back)?!?... id chage atleast 200$..lol.

But really 175$ for a running kart 'is' a deal.... even here.

I can envision fencing sides, up to bout where your nose sets... n where the child sits on a shopping cart, would be over the motor... maybe have a lil baby doll w/ the look of terror, strapped in facing back, arms/leg flaying about loosely? hehe... God im demented....!

The PZ19 is a carb , often used as an upgrade from a stock carb, on GX engines upto 8hp I think, might just be upto 7hp .....

Timh, it originally had an Indy body.... but if it aint running, or if dads not home, I suppose the kids could push each other.....

A few months ago, I bought a lawn mower to flip. It cost me $35 & I sold it for $80 after only cleaning the carb...

And the person that bought it is undoubtedly tickled to get a good mower and save all that money over the cost of a new one. I don't usually buy them. There are usually quite a few on the curbs in the spring- 90% of which just need a carb cleaning but even the locked up ones have many usable parts.

I just wish there were more tillers and karts on the curbs.

that kart cost you a car accident... Gonna need handleing fee added... like it or not youre a middle man when you sell that kart Jim... all up to you whether or not to charge for the transport to your place... if you honestly feel like youre rippin whomever off... throw in delivery... Need I say more?

I saw a kart on Clist last night for $150, no motor and needs 2 tires. Dont feel bad any more, $175 is a good deal for a clean, running Manco.....

Well, was gonna redo this thing into a dragster for the build off, to compete with Alexander (it'sid ) ..... Was just sitting in the garage (I love being able to say that ) and I just couldn't help it.... In a hour and a half, I pulled the tires and put new tubes. I pulled the engine and put on my gx 160 I modded a few months back. Hadn't fired it up since the mods and figured it was time.... I wrapped the exhaust header with the wrap that half-breeder gave me,(thanks again), and I think it came out pretty decent for a first time.
I stole the tank from the pink "hot momma" 2 seater cause I didn't want to go to my storage, which is now a 10 minute drive versus a 2 minute kart ride.....
Anyway, I was gonna sell this thing, glad I didn't. I have new ideas for it.....

awesome!!!! Now ya might wanna think bout putting a pulse pump on that thing... fuel way up there ontop of the wing frame 'cant' be safe...
