Grandson got a Manco Dominator used last summer & have had pretty good luck with it after working some bugs out. Now however the plate with the jackshaft housing had cracked & I have found that it has already been welded once and a second time might not work out. In tracking down online part#s I have been told that the Manco co went out of business in 2007. Is this true & also is there no other source for the original type parts for these karts??

Thanks in Advance!!

Manco changed name to American Sportworks. Web site http://www.amsportworks.com/manco.php

To best of my knowledge, are same company but just changed name. I have a used Manco Dingo that I have bought parts for from American Sportworks and shipped to me in Canada. They also have list of some of their manuals and diagrams.... check out their web site.

Hope this helps :)

Post a pic of the style you have.

Thanks guys & I will try to get a pic posted this weekend. I talked with a lady at americansportworks & it was her that said Manco was out of business & they could not get their parts.

The gokart is a
Manco Dominator Model 425 B-57 with the Subaru Robin 5.0 HP/126cc engine. It seats 2 & has power to the left rear wheel only. There is no axle running all the way across, but just a little stub where the rear wheels mount.

The part from their diagram online was #104 which is a 12742-2 Jackshaft WDMT 42XGBLK.

This plate might be able to be welded again but probably would not keep the sprockets aligned, so I was going to try to replace it. I will keep studying on it!

@ML-TOYS ... there should have been a metal plate with kart info on the floorboard from the factory. Of course if used could have been removed over the years. Try Manco (American Sportworks) site where you can download free manuals of their past models. Can probably identify from there.

Got a reply from American Sportworks, & even though they may have some parts for the Manco carts, this particular part was actually made by Manco & no longer available. They mentioned rewelding it which I will try for a quicker short term fix but will probably start looking at other ideas for when it breaks again. Thanks Again!

or you can modify it with a live axle. pretty easy to do. all the instructions you need on here - just search the forums. :)

If I make a new one for the next time I don't have to worry about it looking just right, just something that does the job, but have been thinking about the full rear axle from the time we got it since it would work better for him off the pavement which is all he rides on.
