I have a 706b with 7/8 hex axle, looking to put a 1” round axle in. GPS has “standard 1” round”, 42 inch for $54, but the Manco axle of the same dimensions is $99. Is there a difference?
i don't know what the difference is between those two axles but curious as to the reason you're swapping out the hex for a round. As of a couple months ago the hex bore wheel bearings and hex bore brake disc were still available as well, but the last time I looked the hex bore sprocket hub was out of stock.
Parts availability/fewer options is a factor. I’m putting a new engine/TC bigger chain etc and want the rest new as well. Second, I’ll have almost enough parts on the shelf leftover to build a kart from scratch, something I want to try.
