Hey guys, I'm trying to get this cart going for my grandsons. The throttle linkage was really rigged up. I ordered the correct linkage and cable for it. Does anyone have pics of the correct position for the throttle linkage and spring for a Tecumseh 6hp?

Show us pics of what you have already, then we can go from there. Help us help you by giving us some eyes-on. 👀
“Tecumseh 6hp” is a bit vague.

This might be the manual for your kart, 485B (5 HP) or 486B (6 HP) Tecumseh OHV engines. The manual shows a throttle linkage diagram but it’s almost worthless:

I’m all for fixing engines, any engine as long as it’s still good and has compression etc., it’s fun and rewarding. But.... since you mentioned grandsons *plural*, it might be time for another kart or two (one for you?) and/or a fresh engine.

The Predator 212cc is on sale starting now June 1 for 109.99, lowest it has been in a while. If you’re not an ITC member you have to wait til June 5-7.

What I do is take the hook end of the spring and hook it under the cable stop screw and put the inner cable through the stop. Seems to work fine for me. Leave the weird bow type spring where it is. Here's a mock up of what I'm talking about. I don't have the original springs anymore.
