Has anyone ever done it? I have some ideas but I think I'm going to get an ink refill and then build the final idea around that. It will be a twist style pen and not a click button one.

I was thinking having the tail cap drilled out x inches deep then the actual barrel will be drilled out so far and then a spring dropped in. But threading the barrel and inside of the tail cap, you can twist the tail, push the ink cartridge against the spring and force the tip out.

Any suggestions? I will probably use aluminum and sand blast it for the final finish.
